The press were calling me the new Scorcese, and I wasn't even making films. I was just driving a bus. They said the partnership I had with my conductor Reggie was one of the most powerful in transport history. He was my De Niro and Di Caprio all rolled into one. I didn't believe any of it, but it was hard to not get caught up in the attention, and the parties, and the women, and the drugs, but at the end of the day I just wanted to get my passengers to their stops on time. I started on the 82A route in 1988, and drove it for nearly eight years. People say it was my Raging Bull, but I'm not so sure.
