From what I can remember, the 2030s were dominated by the re-emergence of the space race. In place of the USA and Russia were Tesco and Sainsbury's. Who would be the first to put a supermarket on the moon? It seemed inevitable that Tesco would succeed, especially after their triumph in 2026 when they installed a Tesco Express on the Mir Space Station. But with all the attention focussed on the two giants nobody could have expected Iceland to jump in at the last hour and claim the victory. It was of little use though, the moon was uninhabited, and always would be. Iceland dissolved within the year.
