Back in the 80s there was a big thing about coining popular phrases. It wasn't until 1991 that I finally came up with one; "A man with no purpose belongs in the circus" I said. As soon as the words left my mouth I knew I'd hit the big time. People would be saying it for years to come, and whenever someone said "Where did that come from?" someone would say "Lester Jackman, that's where?" It never did catch on. Looking back, it didn't even mean anything, all it did was rhyme a bit.

  1. I've been promoted as a result of commenting on every original idea a colleague had, with : "all it did was rhyme a bit"
